Do I need Canadian nursing experience to qualify?

Not always. While experience helps, the core requirements are education, licensure, NCLEX pass, job offer, and citizenship. Prior RN work in Canada may improve your chances or speed, but it isn’t a strict requirement.

How long is the TN Visa valid for Canadians?

Typically up to 3 years initially, with the possibility of renewals in 3-year increments, so long as you maintain your job offer and meet visa conditions.

Can my family join me in the U.S.?

Yes. Spouse and unmarried children under 21 are eligible for TD status, which allows them to accompany you; however, work authorization for dependents under TD isn’t automatic.

Can I transition from TN to a Green Card?

Yes. Many of our candidates eventually move from TN status to permanent residency via employer-sponsored pathways (e.g. EB-3) or other eligible routes; as a full time employee of Grandison, you have the benefit of applying and being petitioned for a Green Card
